Catbert class cruisers adapted their technology from The Apex. Only four vessels of this type were built, and each was equipped with a Black Hole Generator.

The Catbert class served as a sort of proof-of-concept for both the Black Hole Generator and the Progressium hull, seen in later IHSF ship designs such as the Progress class.
