Jump to navigationJump to searchThe habiforming of a planet, moon, or other body is the process of deliberately modifying its atmosphere, temperature, or ecology to be similar to those of its habiformers in order to make it habitable to a certain species. The term is sometimes used broadly as a synonym for planetary engineering in general.
Common technology
Commonly used habiforming technology includes:
- Atmosphere Processors, for changing the chemical composition of a planetary atmosphere.
- Temperature Controllers, for adjusting the temperature of a world to a desired level.
- Shield Bases, for shielding a world against harmful radiation.
