Jump to navigationJump to searchA star of spectral class B; a massive, luminous bluish-white star composed of neutral helium and some hydrogen. Stars of this type have a surface temperature of around 11000 - 25000 K. Examples include Rigel, Spica, Beta Centauri and Beta Crucis.
