40 Eridani system

Jump to navigationJump to search40 Eridani is a triple-star system located 16 light years from Sol. Also known by the names Omicron 2 Eridani, Gliese 166 and Keid, the system includes 40 Eridani A, a red-orange K dwarf star. Two companion stars - a white dwarf and a red dwarf - orbit each other about 400 astronomical units from the primary.
