The Almasy-class command carrier has been designed as a state-of-the-art mobile command base for the needs of the Gigerdian Grand Admiral and the associated staff. The ship has been covered with a semi-organic hull design, a design similar to the Valencia-class cruisers. The ship has superior communications and tactical abilities to any other ship in the GA fleet. It is also completely resistant to any sensor or radio jamming. The ship's sub-light propulsion drive has not been made public, but it is believed that it most likely employs the Nexus drive as its jump drive.
The first Almasy class to come out of the assembly line was the Almasy, which served in the Beta Quadrant conflict, but has largely remained in reserve docks after these events.
The new Grand Admiral of the GA military, Erwin Lerev, is stationed aboard the other Almasy-class vessel constructed so far, the Crimson Reaper; this vessel was used in the Beta Quadrant Conflict recently.
