Anomalous Apex Scale Event

An Anomalous Apex Scale Event is a classification system used in the upper echelons of HFed government and research sectors to describe phenomenon suspected to be related to a supercivilization. It was devised after the discovery of The Apex, a megascale artifact suspected to have been created by an ancient precursor civilization, and the realization that it might only be a part of a larger puzzle.

The Apex Scale

• AASE Category I: Passive/active sensor readings
• AASE Category II: Message or information
• AASE Category III: Inert objects
• AASE Category IV: Active technology
• AASE Category V: Contact with sentience
• AASE Category VI: Contact with active civilization

Distance levels

1. IMMEDIATE — Immediate distance
2. STELLAR — Interstellar distance
3. GALACTIC — Intergalactic distance
4. COSMOLOGICAL — Cosmological distance
