Lydia Bacterionema

Daughter of Bertta and Paavo Bakteeri, Lydia Bakteeri lived up to her father's legacy. She joined the Bacterian navy at an early age, and quickly rose in rank to the point where the command of a Bacterian fortress ship, the Fist of the Empire, was given to her. After that, she was appointed the Empress Bacterionema II. She didn't stay in that position for long, however.

At the beginning of the Gigerdian-Bacterian war Lydia fled the Bacterian territories to meet with Nix Balmorra, the former Gigerdian ambassador to the Peace Station where she had been posted herself earlier. Lydia and Nix lived in hiding during the Bacterian occupation and President Rubek's operation to overthrow the GA government. At this time she gave birth to two children; Brobo and Kuydutus B.B.B. (both of them received the surnames "Balmorra"). Nix was the obvious father and thus the children were a mix between Gigerdians and Bacterians (which proved that at least these two species are somewhat "compatible" when it comes to reproduction).

Lydia acted as the unofficial leader of some Bacterian forces that were hiding in the outer-rim territories. As Nix Balmorra started his campaign to overthrow president Rubek he also promised Lydia that "Bacterius would be free after Rubek is gone". Thus Lydia trusted the remaining Bacterian forces at Nix's command who rallied them together with the renegade GA armadas against Rubek in the Gigerdian civil war.

After the Gigerdian civil war Bacterius was freed but Lydia rejected her status as the rightful heir to the throne. She installed a regent in her place and married Nix Balmorra thus becoming the wife of the president of the newly founded Inter-Stellar Alliance.
