Burning Sea
A religious extremist organization on Orceron, the Burning Sea was a strange hybrid entity with the combined characteristics of a religious movement, a multinational corporation, and a nation state. Founded by the charismatic leader Cathonon, the Burning Sea managed to hold sway over several regions of Orceron at one point in its history. It also engaged in terrorist activities and sabotage.
The organization did not perish in the Great Cataclysm of Orceron, instead escaping into space on its own spacecraft. Eventually, the organization managed to gain control of Cyralgar, a freshly colonized world in the Rend'Ukk Major system, declaring it the seat of the Burning Sea Republic. This world, unrecognized by the UO, was one of the founding members of the V3 Alliance.
The organization would even go on to survive the death of Cathonon and the collapse of the V3 Alliance. It continued to organize resistance against the UO interim government on Cyralgar even after the V3 War was officially over.
Ideology
The Burning Sea always relied on the strong support from the population, maintained through propaganda and other means. Members of Burning Sea were encouraged to convince people to join the ranks of the organization as well as propagate their ideals.
Technology
The Burning Sea did not have a unified space fleet, but were known to use swarms of light, fast and heavily armed starships for military missions.
- Trail of Fire class Fighter — light but heavily armed craft
- Confessor class Rigger — armed assault transport
- Reckoner class Elite Fighter — medium craft, advanced weaponry
