Coalition of Clans
The first Coalition of Clans was formed in 1,2075 after the Great Clan War as a controlling body to regulate the activities of the Orc clans of Orceron and work out diplomatic resolutions in order to prevent further clan wars.
The founding of the Coalition marked the birth of the Orcish Community, a loose league of the orcish nations. This event is referred to as the end of the "Pre-Orcish Era".
The foundation of the Coalition also marked the establishment of a common Orceronian Ruling Court, with a single appointed royal family, the King and Queen of Orceron, as well as a common legislative assembly.
Disbanding
After the foundation of the United Orcs, a one world planetary union, the importance of the Coalition to global politics grew progressively weaker. The Ruling Court and the royal family, however, remained the traditional figureheads of Orceronian society.
The Coalition of Clans was never officially disbanded, but rather simply disappeared during the Great Cataclysm of Orceron along with the rest of the planet. As society was re-established on planet Aldaain under the flag of the reformed United Orcs government, attempting to revive the traditional Coalition was simply thought to be a superfluous exercise.
Second Coalition
It wasn't until over 400 years later that another Coalition of Clans was founded, in 2,414 on Aldaain during the Great Chaos. With the UO government in disarray, and the planet quickly plunging towards unchecked anarchism, the refoundation of the Coalition was an attempt to reunify the broken Orcish society.
The new Coalition was able to secure control of a significant number of population centers. By 2,435 it acknowledged the re-established authority of the United Orcs, but continued to function as an independent organ.
