DD-GOV-81A Jack

The DD-GOV-81A Jack is a very basic Cranial Implant that allows rudimentary everyday access into the Collective Network. It was developed by order of the HFed government to provide an inexpensive mass produced cranial implant for citizens of the Hemmoian Federation with no need for more advanced systems.

The DD-GOV-81A has only the simplest functions of the Collective implemented. It projects a small graphical window into the user's field of vision that allows the display of text and graphics. Sound can also be provided but is turned off by default. Unlike more expensive models, the unit lacks the facilities to produce other sensory input such as smells or sensations. It also lacks streaming updates, virtual reality environments and a direct neural interlink.
