Extradimensional matter

With the development of technology allowing for interdimensional travel, it became possible to send matter from our spatial realm into the planes beyond this space-time continuum. However, the reverse also became true, allowing the harvesting of extradimensional matter from alien dimensions and bringing it back to ours.

Extradimensional matter, originating from realities that do not necessarily follow our physical laws, behave in a number of peculiar and unexpected ways when brought into our dimension, and have thus proven to be extremely useful as a way of "breaking" established physics.
