Farmer

The job of a farmer is to oversee the growth and development of edible flora, protecting it from being consumed by pests until it can be harvested for consumption. In most spacefaring societies, this process is automatic or rendered obsolete by replicator technology; farmers are thus a dying breed in the Galaxy.
