The Feathers were designed before the Beta Quadrant Conflict, during which they were used as a fighter destroyer ships. They are capable of defending themselves even when their fighters are destroyed. The Feathers have a high amount of fighters, but not as high as the Andromeda, Ki'isha or Fettgesicht. They were designed to serve as the tertiary carrier in the IPA starfleet, but sometimes they are used as secondary carriers.
