Also known as a Class M world or a Terran world, Garden Worlds are found in a star's biozone. They have atmospheres that contain oxygen and nitrogen. Gigerdi Prime and Inster are prime examples. Life, either native or transplanted, thrives in abundance on these worlds. Many humanoid species have evolved on class M worlds.

Water is also typically abundant. However, if water covers more than 95% of the surface, they are considered Ocean worlds instead.

Not all Garden Worlds are natural, as many are the result of terraforming projects.

If the surface of the world is primarily covered by large scale vegetation, it is known as an arboreal world.
