Oxygen

Oxygen is a chemical element. It is very common, found not only in planetary atmospheres but throughout the universe, usually covalently bonded with other elements.

Due to its abundance in the Universe, oxygen is a common component in the breathing mixture of many alien species, including Gigerdians, Bacterians, Pappilan Mustat Siat, Humans and various others.
