Gigerdi Alliance Military Academy

The Gigerdi Alliance Military Academy is the primary university and training center of the Gigerdi Alliance Military. The purpose of the academy is to train officers for both of the branches of the Gigerdian military and to offer supplemental training to officers of the military if needed. There are other smaller academies located in several GA territories and colonies also practising the military academy curriculum, but they are often much more speciliazed to just certain subjects and fields of study.

There are many different subjects that a cadet of the academy can major in while studying for the upcoming service. It is also notable that the university has large departments for the studying of subjects not directly related to the military. Although all of the cadets studying at the academy must complete a basic training course, it is possible to study and major in a vast variety of subjects of non-military nature such as medicine, engine technology, botanics and the study of alien cultures.

The academy campus is located on Gigerdi Prime near the Gigerdi Dome.
