Homestead

The small garden world of Homestead is an agricultural colony located in the Free Zone. The colony was a safe haven for all sorts of naturalists, herbalists and farmers wishing to "better coexist with nature". It is believed that most of the population of the colony came from the Alpha Quadrant - and specifically from UCP space.

A few months before the beginning of the Peace Station Project, the population of the small colony was around 350 people. The citizens are also lightly - if at all - armed and only have a few atmospheric shuttles as transportation. Vast plantations of some sort of swamp weed are cultivated in several parts of the northern hemisphere - it seems that all of the population of Homestead live in a walled compound on the northern part.

The planet is mostly left alone due to the fact that it has very little economical or other value at all.
