The Kgorler class carrier was designed by the Gigerdi Federation on year 3332. It has a bulky design that has two separate hangar bays on top of each other. It has poor defenses against capital ships and thus requires support ships when facing larger capital ships. The design was one of the last ones to have actual open hangar bays with fighters instead of several smaller launch bays. The design didn't achieve huge popularity, but has nonetheless became a temporary replacement for the previous design, the Leokohg class carrier. Although previous designs had tried using more hangar bays, though smaller ones, without success, the Kgorler class utilized much wider hangar bays. However, the same problems persisted as before and it was also deemed too risky to have open hangar bays. As such the Kgorler class was discontinued in 3340 when the Reetopiul Keer class carrier was designed.
