Microgravity
From Peace Station Encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to searchMicrogravity is a state in which gravity is reduced to virtually negligible levels. For example, when an object is in free fall(the acceleration of the object is equal to the gravitational acceleration), it experiences microgravity. It is confusing to the mind and deleterious on the physiology of most species that have not evolved in such an environment, which is why artificial or simulated gravity is usually established in its place. Microgravity has some scientific and practical uses, however.
