An open cluster in the nebula NGC 6188, NGC 6193 formed about three million years ago from the surrounding gas, and appears unusually rich in close binary stars.

Two early O-type stars, HD 150135 and HD 150136, dominate this cluster and are the main energy sources for heating the H II region.

Some distance from the cluster is HD 148937, a peculiar Of star responsible for the emission nebula RCW 107.
