Nickel

Nickel is a transition metal with a face centered cubic crystalline structure. In nature, nickel is a silvery white, hard, malleable, ductile, somewhat ferromagnetic metal that is a fair conductor of heat and electricity.

Found as a constituent in most meteorites and often serves as one of the criteria for distinguishing a meteorite from other minerals. Also found in cosmic dust.

Extensively used in various alloys, desalination plants, armor plates and high-security vaults.
