Spectral class: M9.5

A newborn and very small Brown Dwarf, it has just barely enough mass to be categorized a brown dwarf instead of just a gas supergiant. What makes it interesting is the protoplanetary dust disk surrounding it; observations show planets are forming in this region.

It is debatable whether such planets could evolve life. The brown dwarf has a surface temperature of only 2300 K.
