Overhemmo

The Overhemmo (Hemmoian: Supreme Hemmoian) is the theoretical leader of the Hemmoian Federation and the Collective.

Background

The first Overhemmo was elected as early as some time during the late First Age to act as the symbolic leader and representative of the Hemmoian Unity to the Orcish Community. The institution survived all the way through the foundation of the United Orcs, and was later adapted by the new Hemmoian secessionist state, Independent Hypersentiences which evolved into the Hemmoian Federation of today.

Current status

During the course of this time period in the Third Age, the position of the Overhemmo gradually deteriorated with the founding of the Hemmoian Federation and its Collective-based government. Today, the Overhemmo is but a remnant of a custom.
