Jump to navigationJump to searchThe neutron star RX J0822-4300 is a hypervelocity star measured to move at a record speed of over 1500 km/s (0.5% c). The star is a remnant of supernova explosion, and its extreme speed is very likely the result of an asymmetric supernova explosion.
