Ramming

In extreme circumstances, a starship can ram its opponent. Usually done when a vessel is critically damaged. A ramming attack involves piloting one starship directly into another in a forced collision. Its objective is to take the enemy ship with it or cause as much damage to the enemy ship as possible. This typically results in the destruction of the ramming ship and often the rammed ship as well.

Head-On Ram

A head-on ram is a special case of a ram, where the ramming vehicle strikes the target vehicle within that target vehicle's forward firing arc.

Sideswipe

A sideswipe is another special case of a ram. Unlike a normal ramming attack, the ramming vehicle does not head directly for the target, but rather may make a number of slip movements as part of its move in order to close to Range Zero with the target vehicle.
