Red supergiant
From Peace Station Encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to searchA red supergiant is a massive star in the late stage of its life, characterized by its large size, low surface temperature, and reddish appearance. These stars are descendants of stars with masses between 10 and 25 times that of a standard solar mass. They are not the most massive or luminous stars, but their cool temperatures and high luminosity make them physically large, with some being the largest known stars in terms of volume.
