A spaceport or space launch facility is a site for launching spacecraft. Depending on the type of spacecraft the port is designed for, a typical facility contains a wide selection of launch technologies, such as launch pads, launch tubes, or even ordinary runways. Other common components are hangars and terminal buildings.

Additionally, a spaceport may have a variety of facilities and infrastructure, including fixed base operator services, air traffic control, passenger facilities such as restaurants and lounges, and emergency services.

Traditionally, major spaceports servicing large capital ships are located some distance away from major population centers.
