Great Temple of Bacterion

The Great Temple of Bacterion is the primary religious body in the Bacterian Empire. Its Priests and Priestesses are responsible for the myriad of temples and shrines across Bacterian space, dedicated to the ancient Gods of Bacterion.

The current spritual leader of the Temple is High Priestess Kh'fonia Aguares. She often holds as much sway in the Court of Bacterium as any Chief Minister or Domain Lord.

Positions within the Temple

The Bacterian religious caste is divided into three different chapters - Acolytes, Scribes and Seers - each performing a set function. These three work under the command of the Inner Circle.

The Great Temple of Bacterion is known to have actively competed with the Bacterian scientific establishment in interdimensional research, with attempts to contact their ancient gods through arcane rituals combined with high-energy Falsespace Veil Generators, although today this line of research has been suppressed and declared illegal by the government as too dangerous.
