Water

A common word, the meaning of water differs from world to world. It is often taken to mean the primary chemical drinking substance of the dominant species, for an example, hydrogen dioxide (H₂O) for Class M worlds. On Class H worlds, it is a methane based substance.

Interstellar travellers, especially those relying on a computerized Universal Translator, should always remember to specify the chemical composition should they order "water" in order to avoid embarassing situations and/or death.
