Also known as the Elmex Mk.II, the Grand Elmex class is the upgraded version of a standard Elmex class scout. The Grand Elmex had a vastly overpowered reactor which allowed it to be equipped with ten Fusion Cannons which could all fire simultaneously. Usually a linked fire configuration was used to keep the cannons from overheating.

Today, the class is mostly decommissioned. The vessels of this type still in operation have been sold to third parties and are usually heavily modified.
