HFed Nature Preservation and Evolutionary Regulations Commission

A regulatory oversight organization founded by order of the Great Council during the Peace Station Era to preserve the evolutionary parameters of rare species and unique ecosystems. In addition to general regulatory duties and consulting, NPERC oversees the multiple HFed Nature Reserves around the Galaxy.

NPERC has had several conflicts with APA, the Hemmoian Federation's Agricultural Planning Authority. According to NPERC, the APA's policies have resulted in the loss of several unique biosystems on a number of alien worlds. The APA, in turn, has harshly criticized NPERC as "standing in the way of progress."

The current Chairman of the Commission is Jen 80 Noverak.
