Imperial Bacterian Legions
The Imperial Bacterian Legions are the Bacterian Empire's equivalent of an armed forces. Although technically a separate organization, the Legions are heavily dependent on the Imperial Bacterian Navy for transport and logistics, and the two often share resources.

Officer corps
Legion Arbiters: Each legion has a number of low ranking arbiters, who have at least some years of prior military experience. They often serve the role of administrative officers.
Base Prefect: The Base Prefect is the second in command of the legion. Generally he is a long serving veteran and a high ranking Sentinel, responsible for the training of new recruits.
Force Commander: The overall commander of a single legion. The post is usually filled by a member of an Imperial noble house, appointed by the Emperor. The Legate also serves as commander of the Auxiliary units attached to the legion, though they are not formally a part of the legion's command structure.
Imperial Warlord: The highest rank in the Imperial Legions, a Warlord is the commander of two or more legions. The Warlord also typically serves as the governor of the general area (be that a city, a planet, or an entire sector of space) in which the legions he commanded are stationed. They are officially appointed by the Court of Bacterium.
Special Forces
Sentinel Lords and Star Sentinels are sentinels who lead special operations outside of the main military. They only report to the Head Sentinel and the Emperor.
