The Jotta class corvette is a relatively new design. The first Jotta came out of the dock during the Lightness War, during which it served well against Lightness fighters and corvettes, when deployed in groups with other ships.

As they proved their combat-worthiness, the Gigerdi Alliance began to mass produce the Jottas, and continued to manufacture them until the very end of the War.

The Jottas were seen in the Beta Quadrant conflict, where they once again served as anti-fighter craft. Several corvettes of this type were also spotted in the campaign against the Emissaries.

The Jottas remain in active service in the GA starfleet.
