MF83

A vast expanding gas shell about 270 parsecs across, located in the vicinity of galaxy M101. MF38 emits an unusually high amount of X-ray radiation and is thought to be the result of a powerful hypernova explosion in the past. MF83 is also one of the largest expanding shells of gas ever found, indicating an event of vast magnitude took place.
