Ministry of the Public

In the Bacterian Empire, the Ministry of the Public collects and maintains biographical archives of meritorious subjects.

The chief officer of this ministry in the Court of Bacterium is known as the Chief Minister of Public Instruction. This office is ordinarily filled by a son or close relative of the Emperor.

Two of the offices which are deemed to fit in this "civil services" context are the Imperial Court's Chief Judge and the Emperor's chief education expert.
