Outer Rim

The Outer Rim is the geometric region of space containing the outer edges of the Galaxy's disk, on both sides of the border where the luminous matter cuts off and the galactic arms end, replaced by sparse dust, straggler star systems and the occasional rogue planet. The region encircles the entire disk in all four quadrants.
