Anatomy

A Cy'Ka can walk on two or four legs.

A Cy'Ka can weigh up to 2000 pounds, and has a dark black coat of hair. Solid white and pink coats are also found, the warriors or "Warhogs" are normally brown. Several other variations are also known to exist, such as striped, "ultraviolet", and plaid. Their tails are long and straight, but some are curly. They have an exaggerated potbelly, a swayed back, and erect ears.

The snout is adapted for rooting for food; a cartilaginous disc supported and strengthened by a prenasal bone makes a very good digging tool. The Cy'Ka has a very keen sense of smell and can locate minuscule amounts of food in the soil and can follow it by air-scenting.

Technology

The technology level of the M'sta Cy'Ka is low, lower than that of the standard UCP member state. The common citizens normally don't care to use any technological advancements, but the intellectual elite has been known to experiment on short-range space travel, genetic manipulation and other similar low-level technology.

Of course, starships are used during Christmas in order to catch a few juicy humans for the Christmas table.

There has also been some controversy over possible black hole enriching activities taking place within PRPMS space for use in weapons of mass destruction, but the government has consistently denied these accusations as "imperialist lies."

Government & Society

The Cy'Ka live in a group of females and their offspring with males joining the group to mate. They differ from other ungulates in that they are born in a nest and remain there following birth. A strict communist ideology is followed in all communities.

The Cy'Ka communities are controlled by the "M'stin Si'Ka", also known as "The Overpig", who is revered all over the Polity.

For further information and statistics, see the article People's Revolutionary Polity of M'sta Si'Ka.

Reproduction

Standard mammal male/female reproduction. The Cy'Ka reach puberty around 6-7 months of age. Females have a heat cycle every 21 days that lasts about 3 days. The gestation period is around 114 days and a litter of 4 to 12 is usually produced. Piglets are weaned at 8-10 weeks. Full growth is not reached until about 3-4 years of age.

Culture & Tradition

The Cy'Ka have a holiday called "Christmas". It includes giving presents to loved ones, decorating a special "christmas tree" and hunting down a few human starships. The crews of the ships end up as traditional christmas food, "ham".

Usually, human officials explain this by issuing statements that their ships "disappeared in a time-space anomaly."

The Cy'Ka believe each member of their species is born to fulfill a destiny based on their date of birth. These are known as the five paths: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Each element is said to alter a bit the personalities of the Cy'Ka. Thus, those who were born in the year of the Wood are said to possess stronger convictions than the rest, yet, he is flexible when the situation calls for it.

Those born in the year of the Fire are supposed to be enthusiastic, extroverted, rebellious, passionate, brave and valiant; however, they can also be hot-tempered, snappy, uncontrollable and short-tempered.

As the earth is seen to be constant and unchanging, those born in the year of the Earth are believed to be calm, practical, hard-working, brave, smart, wise, stable and patient; however, they can also be stubborn, possessive, nearsighted and very harsh.

Metal, being the hardest of the elements give the Cy'Ka an air of firmness, rigidity, persistence, strength and determination. The Metal Cy'Ka can be controlling, ambitious, forceful and set in their ways. They are often more self-reliant and prefer to handle their problems alone.

Being its natural element, those born in the year of the Water are said to show the extremes of being a Cy'Ka. They can be very emotional, deep, nurturing, sympathetic, empathetic, imaginative and intuitive; however, they can also be cold, moody, jealous, sentimental, sensitive, escapistic and irrational.
