Missing images.

Alas, it turns out the damage to the images was more extensive than we anticipated. From this moment onwards, all image files that are still missing are considered lost, and should be manually reuploaded. The upload page will claim the images exist, but this is not true. Note also that simply reuploading the image will not make it appear on its respective page; the page itself must also be updated (any slight change will do) for the image to reappear.

BREAKING NEWS 30.09.2006

We're Back.

B959a2533a5d1f3dae351cac8bff9922e6bbc384.gif

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Mr. Zet, the Peace Station Encyclopedia is finally back after over a month of downtime. We suffered a catastrophic hardware failure that took place some time around 4:00 AM on August 20th 2006, resulting in a partial corruption of the database and the loss of webserver functionality. Later inspection revealed the majority of the database remained intact; the few cases of data loss we did suffer were non-original entries that can be easily replaced. This is lucky, as the backup scripts had also failed. The system has now been improved to prevent this kind of incident from happening again.

As can be seen, the image table was corrupted beyond repair. However, this is not as bad as it seems, as almost all, if not the entirety of the uploaded image files themselves are still readable and simply require reuploading so they are registered into the database again. This process is currently underway, once again thanks to Zet. If you notice any corrupted or missing entries, they can be reported on the respective article talk page or on this page.

Now, let's get this show back on the road.

Globular cluster bonanza

See the talk page here as well as the main article List of Milky Way Globular Clusters. This is a list of potential locations for all kinds of new/old shit right in our neighborhood that just won't fit in the main galactic plane.
