Planet Killer Beam

A Planet Killer Beam is a focused beam of untold amounts of energy, capable of penetrating planetary surface form orbit at maximum yield, most likely rendering the planet uninhabitable and leaving behind a scene of absolute mayhem and chaos.

Implementations

A low-powered version of this weapon can be found in such mainstay military starships as the HFed Aikon Mk. IIIb class and the GA Valencia Mk. II class heavy cruisers.

A fully developed version capable of full planetary disruption is said to be employed by the HFed Shadow Company class gunship, as well heavy battle stations such as the Neurosphere and the Death Kapu.
