Gigerdi Alliance Military

The Gigerdi Alliance Military is the military arm of the Gigerdi Alliance and the unified Gigerdian race.

The Gigerdi Alliance Military was created at the same time as the alliance was formed after the Timocracy War. The military was formed from both armed forces of the former states of Gigerdi Federation and the Gigerdi Confederation. Naturally the new alliance military was formed more to the lines of the former Gigerdi Federation and its' armed forces than the Confederal side.

The main service branches of the military are the Gigerdi Alliance Military Fleet Force and the Gigerdi Alliance Military Ground Forces, with the fleet service arm being the bigger of the two in terms of personnel. All service personnel study and train for their duties in the Gigerdi Alliance Military Academy located on Gigerdi Prime. The local Gigerdi Alliance Colonial Defence Forces can also be regarded as a service branch as such, but the entire organization of the colonial forces is often suited to the specific environment that it operates in.
