History of the Humans

Evolution

While there is still some debate over the issue, it is believed that Humans originated on the continent of North Africa on their homeworld Earth. Humans, also known as Homo sapiens sapiens, are decedents of apes, who reside in the jungles and trees. They refer to their primate ancestors as anthropoids.

Contrary to other apes humans, for some reason, migrated to the southern waters of Africa, most likely due to an ice age forcing them south. After the end of the ice age, humans migrated north and within some 10,000 to 5,000 years came to dominate their planet.

The Third World War

In the 21st century Humans were already exploring the space, but were limited to their own solar system. While their space exploration was progressing fairly well there was another problem in sight as in the late 21st century the natural resources on Earth were starting to run out. Clean water, uranium and oil were the main three natural resources that were at the threat of running out, with clean water being the most important one. The destruction of rain forests had also done serious impact on Earth's atmosphere.

Countries especially lacking in these resources were looking for them in other countries and a war would seem more than likely, a war that would later on become the Third World War.

China was running out of all resources and United States of America was running out of oil and uranium. It's unclear which one started the 3rd world war, but because of their attacks the 3rd world war began.

USA invaded Canada and South-American countries in search for mainly oil and uranium, but also clean water. China invaded Russia for the same resources and took Taiwan completely under their control. Many European countries were alarmed and wanted their share of resources. Germany and Italy invaded Africa. France and Spain invaded Middle-East. United Kingdom and Portugal also invaded Africa. India invaded Pakistan. The 3rd world war begun in its fullest in just a year. At first there were just normal warfare with no use of nuclear weaponry.

The war raged on for several years. USA managed to take over Canada and Mexico, China conquered parts of Russia and annexed Mongolia. Japan invaded the Korea. Many of the neighboring countries were caught in the crossfire, many were used as a battlegrounds even when they weren't part of the war when troops were being transported through that country.

Any African country that had any natural resources was conquered by the European nations, but the war quickly spread to their home countries when the European countries started to fight each other. European Union, United Nations and North Atlantic Treaty Organization all collapsed. Very few areas and countries were left unhindered.

After four years of fighting it finally begun. Brasilia was the first country to launch a nuke, against the United States. Few other South American countries responded with nukes too. China and Russia soon launched nukes against each other. German, France and United Kingdom nuked each other, Spain and Italy nuked each other too. India and Pakistan launched their own nukes. France and Spain also nuked the Middle-East region and Middle-East countries managed to respond in time. USA managed to respond before the nukes hit and nuked the South America.

All the participating countries were devastated. USA lost all its major cities, Canadian resistance had also managed to launch their own nukes, although that caused the USA to nuke most of Canada too. China's cities were devastated and Russia's too. India and Pakistan were ravaged, along with the Middle-East.

Australia, most of Africa, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia survived relatively unscathed from the war, although they had their losses too. Clearly the most devastating war in the history of mankind.

First Contact

Devastated by the war, the loss of many important natural resources and the devastation of the ecosystem put the Humans in a state of deprivation for several decades or centuries. Previous governments were disbanded, cities became only very small ones and the average life of Humans went down a lot. Billions of people died in the war, although that was a positive change for the ecosystem.

Finally in year XXXX, the Q<RE-Ô landed on Earth. They had arrived at Sol System and detected the life on Earth. They also noticed the devastation of Earth and made assessments that there had been a big war among its inhabitants. Q<RE-Ô were relatively peace-loving and friendly and sought to aid the Humans in order to prevent this from happening again.

Majority of Humans welcomed the newcomers with open arms, but there were people who blamed them for the war, that they had been behind it to weaken the Humans for an invasion. However, the Q<RE-Ô were only interested in aiding the Humans, to rebuild their cities and to clean their environment. All remaining city states and countries were disbanded and the Humans of Earth were finally unified, under the name of Terran Union.

With the aid of superior technology from the Q<RE-Ô the Humans managed to rebuild their homes and clean up the pollution caused by the war. The planet and its inhabitants started thriving once again.

Space Exploration

Q<RE-Ô invited the Humans to space and aided them in creating their first colonization missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as in achieving faster than light-drives. In few decades after the first contact, the Humans had managed to colonize their homesystem and start explore the neighboring systems. Population growth started to increase significantly. The Q<RE-Ô had managed to show the Humans a different way of life, although the nature of Humanity didn't change completely.

Q<RE-Ô and Humans were actively working with each other, although both remained mainly inside their own territories as there were still a lot of Humans that didn't trust their helpers. Humans expanded to the other side and Q<RE-Ô kept to their side. It all seemed to work rather well.

After again few decades of colonization, the Humans established connection with the Lihters, who also proved to be a peaceful race. It didn't take long for them to establish their first treaties with the Lihters. Not too long after that the Q<RE-Ô established connection with the V'As'Ta'Rs and attempted to aid the similarly to Humans, but their first contact envoy was slaughtered and the ship captured. The Q<RE-Ô decided to stay away from the V'As'Ta'R homeworld and any nearby systems.

After a few years of expansion the Humans came across the Opiros and later 1110110110101111. Both species were relatively far away from their systems so they were no threat. Connection to the V'As'Ta'Rs were established by the Humans too after their conflicts with the Q<RE-Ô and the Lihters.

After the conflict between the V'As'Ta'Rs and the Opiros, an idea for a unified military alliance was presented for all the races. Humans viewed it as a rather bad idea as their own versions of such organization hadn't really worked, but Lihters later convinced them to participate due to their positive experiences with most of the races involved.
