UOSF Task Force Orbeus

The UOSF Task Force Orbeus was a defensive fleet formation operating in the Orbeus cluster before and during the First Bacterian War. It was almost completely destroyed in space combat against elements of the I Imperial Purification Fleet Holy Fire in the opening stages of the war. The engagement became known as the Battle of Orbeus-6.

History

As per the Anvilstrike Protocols, in the event of a Bacterian attack on Aldaain, Task Force Orbeus was to immediately engage Bacterian targets according to Response Plan Blue Zero. The military preparations undertaken by UOAF proved to be woefully inadequate against the full strength of the Bacterian war machine, however, and the defensive force was almost completely destroyed in space combat against elements of the I Imperial Purification Fleet Holy Fire in the opening stages of the war. The planned evacuation procedures of key personnel were only partially successful, but the Overhemmo was among those able to escape elimination or Bacterian capture.
