History of the Gigerdi Alliance

Creation of the Gigerdi Federation

Main article: Gigerdi Federation

After the "Council of the Wise" was disbanded, the former governments of the Gigerdians decided to unify the race, so the Gigerdi Federation was founded. It was the ultimate incarnation of the vision of a unified Gigerdian Race held by the now defunct Council of wise.

The new order begun to quickly control almost 95% of the planet’s cities and bases, making all resistance of unification "Pacified". On September 2nd 2134, the Former states were disbanded and the Gigerdians were led by a Monarchy of an Emperor and a Senate. The Colonization efforts of the nearby starsystems and moons were greatly expanded by the new order, making the Gigerdians realize that they were a space-faring civilization.

The Gigerdi Federation was founded on the basis of "Enlightened Socialism", but later on the GF often resorted into harsh, fascist police actions to maintain public order in their controlled areas. On the following years, the G-Federation participated in several military campaigns, just as the H'vos-War, The Bacterian Encounter, Vodoss-Pirate wars, and the Liberation of the Denubian Blockade.

The Gigerdians also formed an alliance with the humans, whom they almost instantly shared a sense of “brotherhood” with. This alliance the Gigerdians and the humans formed was a long-lasting one. Federation was formed into an interplanetary government, quickly establishing colonial power and a real "Defense system" of their worlds. After several hundreds of years, the exploration of starsystems, advanced technology, and the founding of new allies, had made the G-federation a formidable part of the galactic politics; however, the monarchy that ruled the federation in peace had undergone a change for the worst. The G-federation also fought a war against the race known as the Gorg.

One of the most important and culminating points in the Gigerdian history was the partnership in the so-called “Peace Station” project that offered the galactic civilizations peaceful and diplomatic means to at least make an attempt in formation of peaceful relations. After the death of Emperor Ogaitinsha in 3348, the Gigerdi federation broke into a "Secession War" where a small group of the colony worlds broke away from the Federation and formed their own union known as the Gigerdi Confederation. The G-Federation was officially continued on despite this minor setback on May 10th 3349 by the order of Emperor Mad Gigerdi. The Gigerdi Federation managed to continue on as the official Gigerdian government up until the end of the Timocracy War.

Creation of the Gigerdi Confederation

Main article: Gigerdi Confederation

The former ambassador and war-hero, Kyle Gigerdi created the Gigerdi Confederation. His small group of ships and loyal planets created a union out of the former G-Federation Colonies. At first, the loyal force to Kyle helped in the defense of Ferrel, a colony world wanting to join the Confederation, but was unable to do so because of the Gigerdian Federation forces attempting to invade it. After their successful defense, Kyle and his fleets moved away from the systems and set course to the outer rim territories, in hopes of finding a new homeworld. The Gigerdi Federation forces searched for the Confederates for months, unable to find the main fleet, only skirmishing with the smaller ships, the G-Federation forces stopped pursuit. The huge colony ship Hope, captured by the Confederation had been moved into the system of Merdan where the G-Confederation had set up a base, along with their main fleet. Then, Kyle Gigerdi returned to the Peace station to represent the voice of the Confederation in the Council, making the G-Federation uncomfortable. As the G-confederation begun to establish ties to the other races, making black-market contacts, and building their fleets, the G-Federation watched them with silent anger. Later, the location of the G-Confederation's temporary homeworld was found out, by unknown means.

Battle of Merdan

Main article: Battle of Merdan

Two renegade admirals of the G-Federation, mobilized fleets to attack the world of Merdan, while Kyle was away on business. The ensuing fight was terrible, but the G-confederation forces escaping their world with their fleets managed to span a joint operation between the G-Confederation and Federation to destroy the admirals. This made their relations cooler, and at the same time made the relations better.

Timocracy War

Main article: Timocracy War

As the Timocracy war begun, the G-confederation had settled a large system which was named Gigerdi 2, the main planet was built completely with the equipment and parts of the Colony Ship, Hope. As the G-Confederation had established several colonies, the G-Federation was on the contrary engaged in a war against the Timocracy. The first battle was fought between the Timocracy and the G-Confederation forces that had orders to help in the evacuation of a colony world, the battle was lost but several thousands of refugees escaped. As the war progressed, the joint operations of the G-Confederation and Federation, made the relations better, into the point where negotiations of a new Alliance government was put into use. As several other races joined the fight, as it seemed that the Timocracy was about to lose, the G-Confederation fought with all of its resources directed to the front, even the newly constructed Manxx-Class dreadnought.

As the Timocracy war ended, the Creation of the Gigerdi Alliance begun, on May 17th 3353, both of the governments joined back together, joining all branches of the both governments together, having a very large power, the G-Confederation was Disbanded along with the G-Federation. At this point, their governmental system included two emperors and a large senate. Gigerdi 2 system was given a status of "Independent member" as the official capital world was the original homeworld of Gigerdi Prime.

Creation of the Gigerdi Alliance

The Gigerdi Alliance was formed after the Timocracy war, as a Political and Economical "Conglomerate" in 3353. Joining the G-Confederation and the G-Federation together under a one government. The Change was fast and easy, having to expect several millions of Citizens moving back from the G-Confederation zones back to the Homeworld, the Government decided to construct a large population starbase into the orbit of Gigerdi Prime for the families. The Gigerdi Alliance Military was formed, and the new Emperors of the Alliance were the sons of the former emperors, that had died heroically defending their race. The GA senate was now bigger than ever, having to decide on the important matters in the government and for the people. After a year of successful living, the harmony broke.

The Watchers and The War

Main articles: Daglian Conflict, Third Bacterian War

The GA forces had discovered a small race named the Daglians that seemed as an interesting addition to the GA member states, but the truth was more horrible. The Bacterians, a long time enemy of the GA, had just finalized a non-aggression treaty with the GA, and so was asked to come and join a task force of GA ships to welcome the new species. As the task force of GA and Bacterian ships arrived to the Daglian Homeworld, The Daglian forces suddenly recognized the Bacterians as a species that had visited the world long ago; The Bacterian Forces panicked and launched powerful Bio-weapons to the Daglian homeworld, at the same time firing to a GA cruiser, destroying it completely. The Bio-weapons destroyed the whole planet in minutes, only six Daglians being able to escape into the GA ships, left the situation quite horrific. This terrible act of cowardice was not tolerated, two hours later the GA senate voted unanimously for a formal declaration of war against the Bacterian Empire, having large support from other worlds. The Hemmoians, the second big starpower, decided to give assistance to the GA, since the Bacterians had been causing trouble to the Hemmoians before, so it was a quick decision. The whole war took two weeks to accomplish, the Unified armadas struck against the Bacterian fleets, destroying, capturing, and executing. As a large part of the Bacterian Fleets had been destroyed, the GA initiated a large attack to the Bacterian homeworld, bombing it from orbit for two days, and finally accepting surrender from the Bacterian High command. As the news of victory for the GA spread, the remaining Bacterian forces planned for a new offensive. As the Bacterian homeworld was under GA occupation, Kapu the leader of a large pirate clan, and an ally to the GA, was given the rank of Governor of the Bacterian Territories.

Second Offensive

A few weeks after the fall of the Bacterian home world, a new breed of Bacterian ships arrived out of nowhere. The large Armadas destroyed a GA colony world, and attempted to retake the Bacterian homeworld, but to no avail. The GA and Kapu armadas crushed the new Bacterian Amanda Class Cruisers, leaving thousands of more dead to the battlefields. As two major battles were fought, the Bacterian forces lost both of them, they finally escaped within small groups. As the Bacterian offensive was destroyed, The Bacterian Guerilla forces had to retreat to the outer-rim territories. As the Bacterian wars outcome was celebrated in the GA and in their allies territories, powerful people in the GA begun to make their moves.

Section 18 and the Grand Conspiracy

As the Bacterian war had ended three months ago, the GA felt very powerful and almighty. The Occupation in the Bacterian homeworld was running smoothly, and Kapu ruled them all with fear. As the second emperor, Unnamed Gigerdian, had left to a long vacation, the only one in charge was the first emperor, Daniel Gigerdi, Son of Kyle Gigerdi. As he saw strange transitions of power in the government, he understood that the GA was changing, perhaps for the worse. One day, he decided to make a speech to the Senate, he would talk about the new change in the alliance and its territories. While he was keeping his speech, a large bomb was detonated in the Senate, killing 25 senators, wounding 290; Daniel was nowhere to be seen. Immediately, a large group of Medical personnel and security rushed in to help the wounded, as the smoke and debris was too much of concern to search for the Emperor, the Senate building was sealed until Special Forces would arrive to asses the situation. A group of Emergency management personnel arrived, along with Military personnel. The Military personnel were ordered to go into the senate, and assess the situation. As the Soldiers entered the senate hall, they found Daniel Gigerdi wounded under a piece of Debris, they carried him to the back door and from there to a black shuttle that transported him away. In the ensuing hours, Vice-Emperor Rubek was sworn in as the new head of state. As Rubek become leader, he declared the Monarchy system into a ban, and declared himself as President. He explained to the media, that groups of Bacterian Terrorists had attacked the senate and probably killed the former Emperor. As a result, Rubek Introduced a new governmental Agency, The Section 18 to the open daylight, this was to be the next generation of Federal Anti-terrorist forces. The GA constitution was changed, the Gigerdian Citizens with telepathic powers had to belong to the Section 18 or marked as "Rogues", and the Section 18 had the authority to execute Rogues that did not wish to join. Rubek Explained, that several members of the GA government were involved in this Terrorist action, and he arrested, Assassinated, and blackmailed people to start the people to believe that the GA was under constant threat of a Hostile Invasion, whereas this was never true. Rubek and his Section 18 made the people to start fear the other races that were not allied with the GA, spreading rumors of a soon to become "Invasion" of the GA, so everyone had to be prepared. It soon became quite clear that Rubek and his Section 18 were probably behind the bombing, but no one had the courage to stand up to him. As the GA military Generals, Admirals, and Commanders begun to openly protest Rubek's fascist dictatorship, Rubek Decided to get rid of them. The GA military joint chiefs of staff were voicing the strongest objection to Rubek's actions, so Rubek ordered them to be put under arrest and secretly transported away from Gigerdi prime in stasis pods. The Joint Chiefs of Staff were then arrested and moved away in stasis pods, only two of the Joint Chiefs of Staff were elsewhere at the time, so they were forced to be loyal to Rubek. As the Stasis pods were moved to the GA flagship, the G.A.S. Sanctuary, a GA destroyer was accompanying the transport. The Pods were moved into the Cargo hold of the Sanctuary, and the captain was given orders not to open the pods at any cost. A few hours later, the Ships security chief opened the pods and they found the Joint Chiefs of Staff inside them, The Destroyer that had accompanied the Pod transport was now aware of the pods condition, and moved to intercept the Sanctuary. As the Joint chiefs explained what had happened, the Sanctuary's captain decided to move the ship away from the system, but just as they were ready to jump away, the Destroyer appeared and ordered the Sanctuary to surrender. After a brief conversation about loyalty between the captains, the Destroyer opened fire on the Sanctuary. The Destroyer was little match to the Sanctuary, so the ship was destroyed, The Sanctuary got away from the system. In hyperspace, a group of Loyal GA battle groups received word of the Sanctuary's doing, and decided to pursue the Flagship until it could be detained.

The Gigerdian Civil War

The Sanctuary fled from the attackers, but was eventually cornered to a small starsystem at the edge of the Bacterian space. As the large group of GA ships begun to battle the Sanctuary, A fleet of Bacterian warships appeared from nowhere and stated, that they were protecting the Sanctuary. The GA pursue fleet was large, but it was no match for the Large Bacterian force that they encountered. The Pursue fleet retreated, leaving the Damaged Sanctuary to the Bacterians. As the Sanctuary's captain then came aboard the Bacterian vessel, he learned that the Former ambassador to the Peace station, Nix Balmorra was hiding with the remaining Bacterian forces. Nix had married a Bacterian, Named Lydia, who had been an ambassador to the Peace station too, and they had children. The two children, Brobo and Kiihdytys Blöö-blää-blöö, were only small at that time. As the Sanctuary's captain told Nix of what his Alliance had become, Nix was shattered. Nix agreed to give shelter to Sanctuary, but the Joint Chiefs of Staff decided to go hide in the GA colony worlds. Nix promised not to rest until the Current administration of the GA would be brought down, Rubek had to be removed. The Sanctuary declared them "Independent" from the GA, defecting to the Bacterian side. The Message of Fighting between GA forces in the outer-rim colonies quickly reached the inner colonies, several Colonies declared independence from Rubek's corrupted alliance, and swore not to return until Rubek was gone. As tensions grew, President Rubek declared Martial law in the GA, Ordering Kapu and GA fleets to suppress the Rebelling colonies. Normally, this sort of an Operation could not have been pulled out, but Rubek had been secretly injecting the Fleet Captains and Commanders with "Loyalty drugs", keeping them under his command, so that they could be ordered to kill civilians if needed, or even execute prisoners without remorse. It seemed that 95% of the GA fleets had received this "Injection", so Rubek did not control a few ships.

Months of Desperation begun, as Rubek suppressed the small number of Rebelling colonies with blockades and ground invasions, Balmorra's forces were rallying themselves to a bigger fleet, Nix promised the Bacterians that if they would help, Balmorra would free their Worlds of Kapu's and the GA's control, they agreed. Eight months had passed, and Nix heard of another Brutal attack on a Colony world. Nix decided to begin a war campaign to free the GA of Rubek's control. Nix learned of fleet that was not under Rubek's "Loyalty Drugs", and attacked the world that the Fleet was protecting. As always, the battle was short, many ships defecting to Balmorra's armada. In the following months, Nix liberated colony worlds in the outer rim and the inner-rim, but his long march towards G-prime was only at the Beginning. As Rubek become more desperate, he promoted the Section 18 as a full Military organization, that way he could use telepaths to control the population (Thought police)

As Balmorra cleaned his way trough Kapu and his forces, the GA fleets, and the small ambushes, he was nearing G-prime. As the final assault into G-prime begun, Rubek had moved a System killer in a small defense satellite orbiting G-prime, and he activated the planetary defense grid against Balmorra's fleets. The Battle was Fierce, Nix commanding the battle himself from the bridge of the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary sustained heavy damage, but destroyed the System killer satellite and saved G-prime, President Rubek Committed suicide in his office using a thermal grenade just as armed GA troops were about to place him under arrest. The Civil war was over.

The Clean Up

As Balmorra placed his fleet around G-prime, the GA government asked Nix to surrender to the GA forces. Nix agreed to go to Gigerdi Dome, the political capital of G-prime. After thwarting an assassination attempt, Nix was brought safely to Gigerdi dome, where a group of High-ranking Military officials questioned him, almost around the clock. As (Then) Vice-president Dalleer Arrived to hear Nix's story, he gave Nix two choices, both to remain in the GA and be accused of Treason, or "Retire" without any charges made to the GA military officers that worked under him during the Civil war, Nix Agreed to retire in exchange of the Bacterians getting their Independence back, Dalleer agreed. After a brief Press conference, Nix announced the will of his "Statement", and told the Public of the Formation of a new Alliance , named the Inter-Stellar Alliance, he would be the President. The Interstellar alliance was originally an idea of the Bacterians, and so Nix would become the President. A few days later, President Dalleer was sworn in as the President of the GA.

The Section 18's power was greatly diminished, but still left intact as an organization. The GA was quickly recovering from the Civil war. Kapu was killed in the Uprising of his people, and so the Kapu Empire broke into several small factions, constantly at war. Most of Races joined the Interstellar alliance, besides a few.

The Lightness War

Main article: Lightness War

During the months of the Civil war, reports of strange ships moving trough the known races territories was reported, as the old prophecy of "The old ones returning" was becoming true. The Forces of this "Lightness", attacked a GA colony world, completely destroying it, the war was on. Firstly, the rumor of the "Lightness" was laughed at, but as the Lightness attacked all of the Races in the Milky Way galaxy, the Laughter died. The Interstellar alliance, quickly banding its forces together, The Bacterians now fought with the GA. The War was a terrible massacre, quickly destroying 35-45% of the Hemmoian fleets; the GA lost almost half of its fleets in the conflict. As the Lightness warships came terribly close to G-prime, they were pushed back and destroyed. As the GA and Bacterian forces destroyed a large portion of the Lightness fleets, alongside with the Hemmoians, a Peace treaty was suddenly offered by the Lightness forces. The price of the war was terrible. It was also discovered that the Section 18 had been allied with the Lightness during the GA civil war, but were no longer in any contact.

Recovery from the War

In the Aftermath of the Lightness war, The Whole Gigerdi alliance is building its shattered fleets and reestablishing its colonial empire. GA Military morale and power is on the rise as young women and men from all over the GA step forward to serve their race. Old Colonies are rebuilding, new Colonies are founded, and the recovery from the war is quickly proceeding. The GA tightens its partnership with the Hemmoian Federation because of economical assistance. The Interstellar Alliance begins to strengthen their position.

Smaller conflicts

Shortly after the Lightness war, a small group of Human and GA colonies suddenly decide to brake away from their governments and form a union by the name of Interplanetary Alliance. The GA sends forces to suppress the fighting, and are able to put the GA colony worlds under control again. Despite the heavy military campaign, the IPA still remains alive. After the Bacterian Gamma Plague, and the discovery of the Andromeda galaxy, the GA faces another Threat. The Hephaestus System breaks away from the GA and declares them independent.

New races and troubles

As a small GA Starbase is destroyed in the Tefus system, the GA military sends forces to investigate and find a race named the La'Fin, the La'Fin engage in a fight with the GA forces. The GA forces lose one cruiser, but destroy most of the La'Fin forces, a non-aggression treaty is signed. The La'Fin still plan another invasion. After a few months, the La'Fin forces attack the Texian trade routes but are once again pushed back by the GA forces. At this point, Troubles in Hemmoian Space heat up.

As the La'Fin suddenly ask for an audience in the GA senate, the GA agrees, but with heavy security on site. The La'Fin ambassador tells the senators that a Rebel faction of their government had made the Attacks on the Texian Sectors, and brings another La'Fin with them to prove that a Rebel Faction really exists. The "Two factions" make peace in the GA senate, but it really is a big lie. As the GA forces are in an illusion that the La'Fin are at peace with the GA, the La'Fin launch an Attack on the GA territories, but are pushed back again. The GA forces help a small race named the Braccatians to get rid of the La'Fin in their territories, in the newly found Andromeda galaxy. The GA fights a small war with the Hephaestus Republic forces, and finally grand independence to the System. The Hemmoian Civil war rages on.

The Interplanetary Alliance War

Main article: Beta Quadrant Conflict

As the Hemmoian Civil War ends, and the Renegade Hfed Colonies form the DHR, problems begin in the GA space, again. The Same GA systems start to rebel against the GA and form the IPA again, and during the months they refuse to give the GA military equipment back; the GA declares war against the IPA with Interstellar Alliance support. For Two weeks, the GA forces clash with the IPA forces, and make some positive victories, but are still pushed back due to Heavy rioting in the GA colonies; the People are not interested on giving support for a war this size. The GA signs a peace treaty with the IPA, and the IPA forms the IGA (Intergalactic Alliance) that includes most of the races that are not a part of the Interstellar alliance. The Political Conflict between the IPA and GA still continues, without any sign of stopping.

More trouble

As The GA along with the Hfed is exploring the Andromeda galaxy. A renegade AI from the Mechanoids attempts to destroy the Mechanoid Hive, but is stopped by GA and Mechanoid forces. The GA holds a military exercise with the Hephaestus Republic , and receives high praise from the ISA council due to their positive attitude towards the Hephaestus. A resistance is born against the Section 18 and President Dalleer, who is said to be manipulated by the Section 18.

The GA affirms its position in its member's states, getting support from the Texians and Mechanoids.

Emissaries and the Quest

Just as things seem settled down for a while, another fine mess begins. The IPA has constructed two new Cruiser warships, possibly due to the Interstellar alliances construction of new ones. The IPA learns that a race called the Emissaries is planning an attack on G-prime, and Hfed homeworld of Aldaain. The IPA captain and his crew take the new warships and find out crucial information of the Emissary attack. The Emissaries have already persuaded the DHR to make a diversionary attack on Aldaain, and so The Emissaries helped by the Daglians attack Aldaain. Aldaain's surface is badly damaged, but the Hfed forces manage to destroy the Attackers. It seems that the Emissaries have launched some sort of a virus to the Hemmoian Collective, and that another Emissary attack fleet is headed for G-prime. All nearby GA forces are quickly scrambled to defend G-prime, and after a terrific battle, they emerge victorious. It all becomes with a price, The Emissaries destroying a full Continent from G-prime, releasing a deadly virus to the Galaxy, the IPA sends several ships along with GA forces to help and find a cure for the Plague, it is said that in five years the plague will kill everyone in the galaxy. The Case remains open to this date.

As the Plague begins ...

The Plague only begins to adjust to the Milky Way galaxy races, and the IPA Ship, the Valiant is sent to a quest. The Inter-Stellar alliance also sends ships to help in the effort, but will it be too late?

After six months, President Dalleer's term of Presidency is over, Armand Marick of the Liberal Democrat Party wins The Presidential Election, most of the Citizens are happy to get rid of Dalleer and welcome the new president. The galaxy is at an edge, the following conflicts will be crucial to the Galaxy's survival, and will they be won also?
