Parlien Geniocracy

The Parlien Geniocracy is a minor race located in both the Gamma and Beta quadrants. Intelligence is an important thing in their society and they are considered to be more intelligent than most other races.

Etymology

Parlien means "the wise" in their standard language.

Government

Government Type: Geniocracy

The government is selected by free elections, however, the candidates must show problem-solving skill and creative intelligence over certain amount that of the average. A council is formed of the elected people that makes decisions on all the state affairs. The elections are held every three years and one person can serve in the council for a maximum of six years.

There is no chief of state or political parties. Decisions are not made based on emotive decision making or popularity.
